Be Mine?

No ... wait ... yes!

Evan and I are pretty cynical when it comes to Valentine's Day, and usually Mr. Hallmark and Ms. Rose are not invited to dinner.

That said, we agree it's a great day for random acts of kindness, and there's certainly room for fun. Random acts of silliness?

Silliness is what the above is all about. If I still worked in an office, I would anonymously post this in the cafeteria. Since I live in a city, I plan to put a few up alongside the pleas for babysitters and dog walkers on the bulletin boards and flyer-friendly walls around Paris.

If you want to join in the fun, you can download the flyer here.

I'd love to see location photos and shots of the flyer's "tear progress." If we can make a few people smile (especially in these trying economic times), the whole project will be a success.

Enjoy!

Love these! They're like sugar- and calorie-free conversation hearts! Without the chalky aftertaste!

Will pimp them out to friends in the states for sure :)

Most certainly will be posting in the lunchroom at school and perhaps in some of the restrooms.

Brilliant idea! Might have to put a few up when I get to New Orleans in a couple of weeks and see what happens. If I did it here in the village I think they would figure out it was me! (or maybe think it was my English neighbors)

so do the two of you just sit around trying to out-clever one another? This is too sweet...I have decided to spend valentine's day with the two of you, way more fun than Mr. French....

LOL Mrs. French. Evan and I both spent 8 years in school studying the great minds. We began our relationship trying to outwit each other and it kind of stuck.

Old habits die hard.

This is so fun!
I am cynical about the romantic aspect of V-day and the boy and I usually don't bother with any sort of celebration, but for some reason I love the friendship aspect of the day! The colors, the little notes, the sweet candy. Needless to say, I'm bummed that it falls on a Saturday this year.

Sshhh, I'm enlisting friends to post these next to "roommate needed," "futon for sale," and "book buyback" flyers on campuses. It's a fab way to start off the semester. Thank you, and it looks like you're having an amazing time in Paris!

Such a cute idea. I'm considering hanging this on my office door, but I'm kinda nervous what my students might do!

What an awesome idea!! We aren't Valentine's fans either. No flowers, no nothing at all that day for us. He gives me 'just because' flowers during the rest of year. They're so much more meaningful that way.

I printed this just for laughs and put it at our bedroom door. I would have loved to put it somewhere at work. But since people there don't speak/ understand english it didn't make much sense.
I put a link to you blog in my post
